I was ordering a 750gb drive for my Windows Media Center PC (now new and improved with with July 2006 CTP of Vista) (only $336 bucks, for gosh sakes), and discovered the you can get a 4GB SD card for $69.99 - and it is the same brand I am using in my devices . Un-FREAKIN'-believable.

Well that was painless - I decided to try out Movable Type 3.3 (now free for personal blogging, nice!), and unlike the last time I tried to use MovableType and Yahoo! hosting, it was really easy. The config file was way, way simplified - I just had to put in my mysql info, and I was ready to go. I exported my old blog, copied all my uploaded files (and used this as a chance to consolidate a bunch of random directories I had created), and BAM! I was up and going. Aside from cleaning up a few entries that had gotten totally hosed, it was painless. The question is, do I try to move the family blog over - 680 entries, tons of uploads, boy that seems like a recipe for work for a long time.
